The US Department of Energy has Changed the Forecast for Oil Production in the Country for 2023-2024
The US Department of Energy slightly lowered the forecast for average oil production in the country for the current year and increased it for 2024, as follows from the monthly short-term forecast of the ministry’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The Ministry of Energy lowered the forecast for oil production in the country for the current year by 20 thousand barrels per day to 12.9 million barrels per day, and for 2024 it increased it by 30 thousand barrels per day, to 13.15 million barrels per day.
In October, the US Department of Energy raised its forecast for 2023 by 140 thousand barrels per day, to 12.92 million barrels per day, and for 2024, lowered it by 40 thousand barrels per day, to 13.12 million barrels per day.
The level of oil production in the United States in 2022 is estimated at 11.91 million barrels per day.
