  • TMK and Rosneft Discuss Partnership to Introduce Innovations in Oil Production

    Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and PJSC NK Rosneft discussed scientific and technical cooperation within the framework of the technological day on pipe products, which TMK held at its R&D center in Skolkovo. The parties summed up the results of the implemented projects and outlined areas of joint work to create and implement high-tech solutions for hydrocarbon production.

    One of the main topics of the meeting at the TMK Science and Technology Center (STC) was the program of technological partnership between TMK and Rosneft for 2021 – 2024. In addition, TMK presented its competencies in the field of engineering and technical solutions for well construction, selection of materials to increase the service life of pipes, shared its experience in the implementation of the Eternal Well project, and also offered comprehensive services of TMK and Sinara Group in the implementation of large infrastructure projects.

    In turn, representatives of Rosneft reported on work to improve the reliability of field pipelines, laboratory tests of coatings for oil and gas pipes and other areas of activity.

    For many years TMK has been supplying Rosneft with pipes with premium threaded connections, shipping products made of chromium-containing steel of the 13Cr type and other innovative steel grades, is the first Russian supplier of high-tech pipe solutions for offshore production within the Sakhalin-1 project, and participates in other projects. In addition, our companies are jointly implementing complex technological initiatives, conducting joint scientific and technical activities. Thanks to this synergy, we find breakthrough solutions to complex engineering problems and ensure the development of the Russian energy sector through the introduction of high-tech domestic products, ”said Sergey Chikalov, TMK Deputy General Director for Scientific and Technical Development and Technical Sales.
