  • TMK: Discusses Hydrogen Energy Development Projects on Sakhalin

Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) demonstrates high-tech pipe solutions and discusses the development of hydrogen energy and offshore projects as part of the Sakhalin Oil and Gas 2021 Far Eastern Energy Forum, which is taking place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from September 28 to 30.

The TMK exposition at the forum presents pipes made of special types of steel with premium threaded connections of the TMK UP line, including products supplied for the development of offshore fields in Sakhalin. The company participates in the implementation of projects for the production of hydrocarbons on the Sakhalin shelf, in particular, Sakhalin-1 and Sakhalin-2, where high-tech developments of TMK have replaced imported samples. Participants and guests of the forum will also be able to familiarize themselves with the entire range and complex service offers of the company, which will be presented in a digital and interactive format.

The TMK delegation at the forum will hold negotiations with partners from the oil and gas industry, and as part of the business program will discuss the formation of a hydrogen cluster on Sakhalin. The company intends to take an active part in the development of hydrogen energy in the region and in Russia as a whole, including through the development and supply of new generation products for all stages of the technological chain – production, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen, as well as joint projects in scientific and educational spheres.
