  • TMK Presented to Dmitry Medvedev a Project for the implementation of Digital Twins at STZ

Sergey Chikalov, Deputy General Director of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) for Scientific and Technical Development and Technical Sales, presented to the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Skolkovo Foundation, Dmitry Medvedev, a project to introduce digital twins at the Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ), which is a part of TMK, together with resident startups Skolkovo and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).

The meeting took place at the Skolkovo innovation center. It was also attended by the Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation Arkady Dvorkovich, the head of the state development corporation VEB.RF, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation Igor Shuvalov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev, Skoltech Rector Alexander Kuleshov and heads of startups Skolkovo residents, together with whom TMK is implementing a project at STZ, are Computer Vision Systems, Signum and CyberPhysics.

TMK and Russian high-tech startups are jointly creating digital production twins at STZ. The project combines tools for collecting and processing big data, complexes of hybrid models, unique computer vision systems and modules for predictive and prescriptive analytics. The system will monitor geometric parameters and detect defects in the pipe production process, predict technological situations and prevent equipment downtime, as well as make recommendations for production management. This will make it possible to switch to a recommendatory decision-making system, as well as to ensure the stability of the quality of products.
