  • TMK: Presented to Gazprom a Concept for an Integrated Infrastructure for Gas Production and Transportation

At the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (PMGF-2021), Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) announced the results of the import substitution program for high-tech products for PJSC Gazprom and presented to partners a joint concept of TMK and Sinara Group for the integrated development of fields, transport facilities and industrial infrastructure.

At a meeting on the technological development of PJSC Gazprom, TMK’s First Deputy General Director for Operations and Development Sergey Chikalov spoke about the results of joint work with partners to develop and market new products. Within the framework of the Future Thing Agreement, concluded by the companies in 2015, six new types of pipe products were developed and more than 95 thousand tons of pipes were shipped to implement projects of the Eastern Gas Program and to develop the Astrakhan, Kovykta, Kharasaveyskoye and Orenburg gas condensate fields. These are seamless pipes of high strength grades made of corrosion-resistant steels and alloys with premium threaded connections.

Also for Gazprom’s projects, TMK over the past three years has mastered the production of new heat-insulated elevator pipes (TLT), created a “smart” pipe for remote monitoring of the state of gas pipelines, developed new premium threaded connections, innovative steel grades made of chromium-containing and chromium-nickel alloys, pipes for new strength groups, including hydrogen sulfide resistant, advanced coatings, and a range of other products. For large-scale trunk projects, the company is ready to supply large-diameter pipes of increased length – 18 meters – and has developed a new welding technology.

At the same time, TMK’s participation in oil and gas projects is not limited to the supply of high-tech pipe products and service support. The company, together with the Sinara Group, is ready to offer comprehensive services for the development of fields and the creation of related infrastructure.

“TMK possesses all the necessary competencies for the comprehensive development of oil and gas fields, from the supply of pipe products and the construction of drilling rigs to the preparation of hydrocarbons for transportation. We are engaged in the construction of trunk pipelines, pumping and compressor stations. But our capabilities are not limited to this – together with the enterprises of the Sinara Group, TMK is ready for the complex creation of an industrial infrastructure. We are talking about energy facilities, engineering networks, metal structures and other facilities. In addition, within the framework of the joint proposal, our companies can build social facilities. This approach is beneficial, first of all, to our customers – they receive “turnkey” high-tech products for the production and transportation of hydrocarbons with a verified technology for their operation.
