  • TMK Took Part in a Meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors Under the President of Kazakhstan

    Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in the 33rd plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK).

    The event, which was held in a combined face-to-face and online format, was attended by the heads of large transnational companies, heads of government agencies and representatives of international organizations. As permanent members of the Association “Kazakhstan Council of Foreign Investors” (AKSII), TMK was represented by the vice-president of the company Mikhail Popov and the general director of the TMK-Kaztrubprom enterprise located in Kazakhstan, Vladimir Kolesnikov.

    The meeting participants shared their recommendations for the development of non-primary exports of Kazakhstan. According to them, the stimulation of this direction in the country is developing in accordance with global trends and takes into account the emphasis on combating climate change and achieving sustainable development goals, including the active transition of advanced economies to green technologies and renewable energy sources.

    Investors also voiced recommendations on unlocking the export potential of agricultural and food products, including through the formation of the Concept of the Eurasian commodity distribution system. The meeting discussed the promotion of regional trade in the post-pandemic period, digital transformation, including the export of IT services, as well as the use of complex digital solutions in the healthcare system of Kazakhstan.

    The Council of Foreign Investors was established on the initiative of the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and is an effective platform that unites major foreign investors in Kazakhstan and promotes discussion of the most important issues related to the development of the national economy and improvement of the investment climate. The Council includes the heads of 37 large transnational companies and international organizations, as well as key ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
