TMS Group Will Replace the Repair of Foreign Equipment
In 2023, Almetyevsk TMS Group plans to diversify its business. It is planned to manufacture equipment for hydraulic fracturing (HF), industrial climate equipment and control valves for petrochemicals. The machine-building division of the TAGRAS holding is also going to develop and produce auto components using the precision metal stamping method.
The Devon news agency learned about this from the report of Niyaz LATYPOV, First Deputy Director for Marketing and Sales of the Management Company of TMS Group LLC, at the conference of TagraS-Holding teams (Almetyevsk).
TMS Group is actively developing critical products for the Russian Federation, and also provides support to other companies. For example, together with the Skolkovo Center, an import-substituting microtonnage removable waste container was developed.
In 2023, the company intends to increase its share of presence in foreign markets. Now TMS Group is establishing export channels to the countries of South Asia and the Middle East.
“In 2022, contacts were established between the delegations of the embassies of the Russian Federation and the UAE for further interaction,” Latypov said. – In December TagraS-Holding took part in working meetings in Delhi. The prospects for cooperation with the leadership of India Oil Limited, a leading player in the oil exploration and production market, were discussed. In addition, we supply pumping units to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.”
The company managed to prevent production stoppage and non-execution of contracts under the sanctions, the speaker said. To do this, a new logistics for the supply of imported raw materials, equipment and goods was organized. Their counterparts from the Russian Federation and friendly countries were selected. “We have built a new optimal logistics for the supply of critical goods,” explained the first deputy director.
Today, almost the entire product line of TMS Group is made from domestic components. So, from 60% to 75%, the share of domestic components in pipes with an internal coating and protection of the MPK welded joint has been increased. In the production of metal-plastic pipes, the share of imported components was reduced from 31% to 15%. For example, an American hydraulic press was replaced with a Russian one.
In 2022, the production of pumping units from components manufactured in the Russian Federation was mastered. The capacities of “TMS Group” allow to produce up to 800 rocking chairs per year. The engineering subsidiary of TagraS-Holding also learned how to repair drilling rigs made in China, Canada, Romania and the USA. Last year, TMS Group launched the production of high-temperature wellhead fittings.
The company also manufactures casing pipes with high-torque premium threads. They are operated in straight and inclined-horizontal wells. They are analogues of Tenaris threads (“Tenaris”). TMS Group manufactures joint threads for drill pipes and packers for injection and production wells, Niyaz Latypov added.
Earlier, Inform-Devon wrote that the machine-building TMS Group completed work for 11.433 billion rubles in 2022. and invested 107 million rubles. The company launched 29 new types of products on the market at once. Among them – attachments for extinguishing forest fires. More than 255 thousand linear meters of metal-plastic pipes (MPT) were manufactured.
In October last year, IA Devon reported that TMS-Drilling Service would supply heat-resistant wellhead fittings to Uzbekistan. The equipment will be used at the country’s largest field of extra-viscous oil and bitumen “Yangi Uzbekistan”.
