  • Tomskneft Achieves 95% APG Utilization Rate at Large Oil Production Centre

Tomskneft has commissioned two vacuum compressor stations at the Dvurechenskoye field for further transportation of compressed gas to a gas turbine power plant. The stations built within the framework of the company’s gas programme implementation provided for bringing the level of associated petroleum gas utilization up to the target of 95% at the Dvurechenskoye and Karasevskoye fields.

Currently, nine vacuum compressor stations are operating at the Tomskneft’s production sites. Another station at the Krapivinskoye oil treatment unit is under construction.

In total, since 2007, when the gas programme was launched, Tomskneft has built and commissioned 10 facilities, including 3 gas turbine power plants with a total capacity of 43.5 MW. Prior to 2007, three more major gas facilities were commissioned at the initiative of the Tomsk oilmen: the Luginetskaya and Severnaya gas compressor stations, and 24 MW GTPP at the Igolsko-Talovoye field.

Tomskneft is expected to deliver 1.9 billion cubic metres of associated gas to customers by the end of 2019.

The consistent implementation of the gas programme enables Tomskneft to use new volumes of APG to generate electricity and heat, which increases the efficiency of oil and gas production and helps reduce the environmental footprint and improve the environmental situation in the regions of production.
