Towing of the Saturn Drilling Rig from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Has Been Completed
The Saturn oil drilling rig was delivered from Turkmenistan to Baku (Azerbaijan) accompanied by support vessels belonging to Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO).
The three-day operation involved the vessels “Andoga”, “Neftegaz 64” and “Mardakan” of the ASCO Caspian Sea Oil Fleet in the port of Turkmenbashi.
CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) was established in October 2013. Along with the transport fleet, ASCO includes a specialized fleet and ship repair yards. The transport fleet consists of 52 vessels, including 21 tankers, 13 ferries, 14 universal bulk carriers, 2 Ro-Ro vessels and 2 Ro-Pax vessels. The specialized fleet includes 192 vessels, including 20 crane vessels, 20 tug and supply vessels, 23 passenger vessels, 2 pipe-laying vessels, 5 firefighting vessels, 5 geotechnical vessels, 9 diving vessels and 108 service and auxiliary vessels.
