Turkish Subsidiary of SOCAR AQS to Drill 4 Oil Wells in Southeast Turkey
The Turkish company SOCAR AQS Sondaj Muhendislik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S (SOCAR AQS Turkiye) and the Turkish state oil company TPAO signed a drilling contract.
SOCAR AQS Turkiye is a subsidiary of SOCAR AQS drilling company.
“The contract provides for the drilling of 4 oil wells by SOCAR AQS Turkiye in the southeast of Turkey. This agreement is an important achievement for both companies and represents a strategic partnership in the energy sector,” SOCAR AQS said in a statement.
The agreement is expected to support Turkey’s oil production and boost employment in the region.
SOCAR AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR, Nobel Oil Services and Absheron Qazma Shirkəti as a joint venture providing comprehensive drilling and well management services. Nobel Oil Services is the main shareholder of SOCAR AQS.
The main activity of SOCAR AQS is the provision of services and work on the design and planning of wells, drilling of oil and gas wells, drilling of directional wells, drilling of horizontal wells, well development, well workover, sidetracking and drilling of branched wells.
