Turkmenistan Has Revealed The Volume Of Oil And Gas Produced In 2023
Natural gas production in Turkmenistan in 2023 amounted to more than 80.6 billion cubic meters, oil production – over 8.3 million tons, the Russian-language government newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.
The corresponding data at an extended government meeting following the results of 2023 was presented by the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Dovletgeldi Amanmuhammedov.
“At the end of 2023, steady growth was observed in the industrial sector. In particular, natural gas production amounted to 80,618.7 million cubic meters, oil production – 8 million 316.7 thousand tons,” Neutral Turkmenistan quotes the head of the State Statistics Committee.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Fuel and Energy Complex Batyr Amanov, who spoke at the meeting, also said that “the plan for the production of natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 106.9 percent, and for the export of “blue fuel” – by 112.6 percent.”
Half of the natural gas produced in Turkmenistan last year will be exported to China. According to official reports, Turkmenistan annually supplies about 40 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas to the Celestial Empire, being its largest supplier to the Chinese market.
