  • Turkmenistan Produced 40.2 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas and 4.2 Million Tons of Oil in the First Half of the Year

    During the meeting, it was reported that gas production in the country in January-June 2024 exceeded 40.2 billion cubic meters, oil extraction amounted to 4.2 million tons, Interfax writes with reference to local media.

    However, comparative data with last year is not provided. Earlier, it was reported that for the entire past year, Turkmenistan produced 80.6 billion cubic meters of blue fuel and 8.3 million tons of black gold.

    It is also reported that during the meeting, Berdimuhamedov set priority tasks for the oil and gas sector: the use of modern technologies and an increase in production indicators.

    One of Berdimuhamedov’s instructions was the task of attracting foreign investors to the search for and development of oil and gas in the Caspian Sea.
