US Oil Production Rose by 100,000 Barrels a Day in a Week
US oil production for the week ended April 28 increased by 100,000 barrels per day to 12.3 million barrels per day, according to a weekly review by the Energy Information Administration of the country’s Energy Department.
On average, over the past four weeks, US oil production amounted to 12.275 million barrels per day.
The department reports exact data on production in a monthly report with a difference of two months. According to the final data, oil production in the United States in January amounted to 12.46 million barrels per day, in February – 12.55 million barrels per day. And for the whole of last year, production is estimated at an average of 11.88 million barrels per day.
On April 11, the US Department of Energy raised the forecast for average oil production in the country for the current year by 100,000 barrels per day, to 12.54 million barrels, for 2024, by 120,000 barrels per day, to 12.75 million barrels.
