  • US Oil Production Up by 400,000 Barrels a Day

    U.S. oil production rose by 400,000 bpd in the week ending August 4 to 12.6 million bpd, according to a weekly review by the Energy Information Administration of the country’s Department of Energy.

    On average, over the past four weeks, oil production in the United States amounted to 12.325 million barrels per day.

    The department reports exact data on production in a monthly report with a difference of two months. According to the final data, oil production in the United States in May amounted to 12.66 million barrels per day. According to preliminary data, in June the figure reached 12.68 million barrels per day, in July – 12.73 million. And for the whole of last year, production is estimated at an average of 11.91 million barrels per day.

    On August 8, the US Department of Energy raised the forecast for average oil production in the country at the end of the current year by 200 thousand barrels per day, to 12.76 million barrels per day, for 2024 – increased by 240 thousand barrels per day, to 13.09 million barrels per day. day.
