Uzbekistan Will Attract Russian Experience In Oil Exploration
Together with Tatneft, a strategy will be developed to increase the efficiency of geological exploration.
JSC Uzbekneftegaz, the largest state-owned company in Uzbekistan, intends to use international experience in the field of geological exploration. In pursuance of the instructions of the head of state to attract foreign experience, an agreement was reached with PJSC Tatneft to promote the development of the Uzbek company’s activities in the field of geology and geophysics. The Devon News Agency learned about this from a message from Uzbekneftegaz.
To exchange experience in this area, on January 24, 2024, a delegation of geologists and other TATNEFT specialists, led by Deputy General Director – Chief Geologist of the company Rinat Aflyatunov, arrived at Uzbekneftegaz.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss issues in the areas of geology of oil and gas fields, methods of conducting geological exploration, geological and geophysical research, as well as organizing work with relevant ministries and departments.
In addition, the delegation was tasked with jointly developing recommendations for increasing the level of competencies and strengthening the team of geologists, identifying key performance indicators and introducing modern motivation methods.
The visit program includes familiarization with the activities of Uzbekgeofiziki JSC and State Enterprise IGIRNIGM (Institute of Geology and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields of Uzbekistan) in the field of conducting, processing and interpretation of seismic exploration using 2D and 3D methods, as well as with ongoing research work .
Tatneft specialists will be presented with digital solutions used in the Modeling Center and the Drilling Control Center of Uzbekneftegaz.
Based on the results, together with specialists from the Russian company at this stage, a strategy will be developed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of geological exploration work.
