Vallourec hold Second Technical Conference in Moscow
Vallourec, a world leader in seamless pipe manufacturing, held a technical conference in Moscow on April 14, 2015. This was a second conference organized in Russia by Vallourec. This year the event took place in Marriott Grand Hotel in the center of Moscow.
Markus Renner and Nina Molochkova gave introduction of Vallourec as world leader in premium pipe solutions based on advanced technology and scientific research. For many years, the slogan for long-term strategy of the company has been “More premium, more local and more competitive”.
“Vallourec products are well known on both international and Russian markets. We continue to offer to our clients the most up-to-date complex solutions for development of most complicated oil fields”, – noted Nina Molochkova.
Philippe Machecourt and Nikita Zhgenti presented prospective developments in drilling instrument. In particular, new grades of sour service drill pipe, horizontal drilling (shale) drill pipe and offshore landing strings were mentioned in the presentation.
“In spite of the crisis we target Russian market with new technical solutions and economical models, which will support our reputation of technical leader among drilling instrument manufacturers”, – expressed Nikita Zhgenti.
The presentation of Popov Alexander from “RN-Uvatneftegaz” on the use of Hydroclean pipes for cleaning horizontal sections of wells while drilling at Uvat oilfield has generated a strong interest of the audience. This instrument of unique Vallourec design has been used at Rosneft oilfield since 2011 and proved itself as an effective instrument for increasing drilling rate and reduction of non-productive time.
Oliver Paulussen, head of technical sales for Vallourec Deutschland GmbH, presented the latest generation of premium connections VAM21 и VAM21 HT. These are the connections of 21 century, which, due to their design, are leaving far behind all other premium connections when performing automated casing running services. The connection features high tensile strength and exclusive operational characteristics. «We are certain that this connection will be appreciated in full extent by Russian oil and gas companies”, – said Oliver.
Hardbanding Solutions, a daughter company of Postle Industries, remained a traditional sponsor of Vallourec conference. The head of the company Colin Duff made a brilliant presentation on extension of lifetime of drill pipes and casing by application of Duraband NC hardbanding. The company is increasing its activity on the Russian market, paying maximum attention to technical support and training of Clients, as well as to extending the network of licensed rewelding workshops.
Vallourec subdivisions «Onshore PPD», «Serimax», «Mechanicals» had their presentations on new welding technology, line pipe and tubulars for oil and gas equipment.
The conference was followed by a reception party.
