  • Vikoma: Karen Lucas to Become New General Manager and Director

    Leading Oil Pollution and environmental technology company, Vikoma International Limited, has appointed a highly successful industry figure as its new General Manager and Director.

    Karen Lucas is to take on the role and lead Vikoma’s day-to-day operations alongside the Vikoma Board.

    Vikoma International, part of Aberdeen head-quartered Energy Environmental Group, leads the world in the design, manufacture and installation of oil spill containment and recovery equipment. The business has a global reputation for the development of innovative, high performance products to deal with the full range of oil spill scenarios.

    Karen joins us with over 20 years industry and management experience and a proven track record in business growth. A member of the chartered institute of certified accountants, she played a key role in the successful UK and international expansion of the Strainstall Group, a group specialising in the design and manufacture of load and stress monitoring systems for the Oil & Gas, Marine and Industrial fields within the UK and internationally. Karen takes over from Peter Tyler, who has moved onto new opportunities outside the industry.

    Karen commented, “I am delighted to accept this role. Vikoma has leading products and I look forward to working with the management team and our dedicated workforce in taking the business on the next stage of it’s journey. There are exciting times ahead.”
