  • Volga Gas – Directorate Change

    Volga Gas plc, the oil and gas exploration and production group operating in the Volga region of Russia, announces a change in its directorate.

    Ronald Freeman has advised the Board that after 13 years of service as an independent non-executive director of the Company he wishes to retire with effect of 31 December 2019.

    The Company has commenced a search process for another independent director to replace Mr. Freeman and a further announcement relating to the appointment will be made as soon as possible.

    Mikhail Ivanov, Chairman of Volga Gas, commented:

    “On behalf of the Board of Volga Gas I would like to express our warmest appreciation to Ron for the support, guidance and wise counsel he has given the Company for so many years.  He has been a key member of the Board since the Company’s foundation and apart from being a valued colleague has also been a kind friend to all of us.”
