Weatherford Continues Developing Cooperation With LUKOIL

In February 2012 Weatherford was awarded a tender of LUKOIL-Western Siberia for the delivery and service of multi-stage fracturing systems in 2012. The systems will be installed in wells located in the Kogalym, Langepas and Pokachev-Neftegaz fields.

Last year, 68 well completions were successfully deployed by Weatherford specialists in LUKOIL’s Western Siberia fields as part of their large multi-stage frac project with the application of Weatherford’s ZoneSelect(TM) system. Utilization of this technology enabled increased average flow rates of approximately 40% compared to horizontal wells completed using conventional technology.

This year Weatherford will, for the first time in Russia, perform eight-zone frac treatments with the use of the ZoneSelect(TM) technology.
