X KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum «New Energy Horizons: Prospects of Cooperation and Investments»

This year KAZENERGY Forum will be held for the tenth time. Over 10 years it has become an authoritative and important dialogue platform uniting the entire energy industry and oil and gas companies. KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum is the largest sectorial international event of Kazakhstan. The Heads of the states and agencies, top-managers of national and international energy companies, leading experts are among the delegates. Daniel Ergin, Vice-Chairman of IHS, Pulitzer Prize winner for the book “The Prize”, Dr. Kandeh Yumkella, Special representative of UN Secretary-General and General Director of the Initiative on sustainable energy for all (SE4All), Adnan Z. Amin, General Director of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Joseph Toth, President of the World Petroleum Council, Urban Rusnak, General Secretary of the Energy Charter, Mark W. Albers, Chief Vice-President of Exxon Mobile and others confirmed their participation as key speakers of the tenth Forum.

KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum is aimed at the creation of the dialogue between the largest participants of the world energy market and the provision of economic energy safety.

During the previous years, development of oil and gas, electrical energy and nuclear industries were discussed, key energy challenges and the ways to meet them were determined, financial crisis and industry development during the post-crisis period were analyzed, establishment of strategic alliances, environmental safety, energy scenarios of sustainable development in a time of change were considered at the Forum.

This year the Forum’s work will be dedicated to a discussion of milestone events of modern energy and political agenda, transformation of oil and gas and energy market. Within this, special attention will be paid to the development of the industry within the National Plan “100 specific steps” as a response to global and regional challenges. Separate discussions will be devoted to the role of integration processes, formation of the long-term trade and economic and energy partnership, provision of global energy stability especially in European and Asian regions.

The Forum’s Program provides conducting of joint activities with the experts of International Energy Agency (IEA), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Secretariat of Energy Charter, World Petroleum Council (WPC), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and other organizations.

On the first day, Oil and Gas Conference devoted to the establishment of the Silk Way Economic Belt “Energy safety in Eurasian region: new cooperation mechanism” is planned to be conducted within the Forum. This conference will be conducted on the proposal of the Academy of Engineering of PRC and is associated with the initiative to create the Silk Way Economic Belt proposed within the meeting of the Heads of RK and PRC in September of 2013.
