Yugra is One of the Largest Oil and Gas Producing Regions in the World!
September 21 marked the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the Berezovskoye gas field. Then, in 1953, a gas-water outburst occurred at well No. P-1, which turned into an open fountain.
In honor of this event, Natalya Komarova, at a visiting meeting of the Russian Gas Society and the Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists of Russia in Khanty-Mansiysk, discussed with experts the role of natural and associated petroleum gas, the oil and gas industry in the development of Russia and Ugra.
“By the end of 2022, 535 million tons of oil were produced in Russia, the forecast for 2023 is 517 million tons. The decrease is due to agreements in the format of the OPEC+ agreement. In this regard, our task is to ensure that such a regulated reduction in production does not in any way affect the volume of work related to investing in the fuel and energy complex, oil and gas production, and the quality of life of people,” noted Yugra Governor Natalya Komarova.
