Rosneft Increases the Economic Efficiency of Well Repairs

Samotlorneftegaz, one of the key production assets of Rosneft, has increased the efficiency of well repairs through the introduction of flexible steel-polymer pipe of Russian manufacture.

The use of modern polymer coatings in the pipe structure reduces heat loss during operations to melt hydrate-paraffin deposits in the well. In addition, the service life of the equipment and its maintainability are increased.

The use of flexible steel-polymer pipe made it possible to reduce operating costs for well heating operations by 10%, and installation and dismantling time by 12%. The number of specialised equipment units involved has been reduced, allowing them to be used for other types of repair work.

The new technology makes it possible to cover a greater number of wells for technical measures aimed at increasing their productivity.

Rosneft places priority on innovation and considers technological leadership a key factor in competitiveness in the oil market. The implementation of domestic technologies is part of the company’s systematic work to modernise production processes and introduce advanced engineering solutions.
