Kazakhstan Does Not Expect a Decline in Oil Production, May Redistribute Transit Through Other Routes
“Kazakhstan does not expect a decline in oil production following a possible suspension by Russia of Kazakh oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline”, said Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov.
“No, a reduction in production is not envisaged. We have the ability to redistribute this volume through other routes,” Akkenzhenov told journalists on Wednesday.
He clarified that the discussion (regarding a possible suspension – IF-K) currently concerns only May.
“Of course, we are redistributing all volumes through other routes. This includes the Caspian Pipeline Consortium pipeline, which includes other directions. These include Ust-Luga, the People’s Republic of China, and so on,” he added.
