Surgutneftegas Stated It Could Increase Oil Production
Surgutneftegas has the technical capability to increase oil production given the current situation on the global market, company head Vladimir Bogdanov told journalists on the sidelines of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) congress.
Bogdanov added that before the OPEC+ agreement came into effect, the company produced 60 million tonnes “fairly steadily.”
In 2024, Surgutneftegas reduced oil production by 4.8% to 53.7 million tonnes, according to the company’s report. Data for 2025 has not yet been disclosed.
The annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs traditionally concludes the Russian Business Week. RIA Novosti acts as the general information partner of the event.
